On January 25, 2017, Carey’s older brother Jon-Luc, Rob, Ryan and Robbie Donohue returned to Vail Pass, one of Carey’s favorite places to snowmobile, to spread his ashes. The winds were howling at 40 mph and the trip was challenging but they were able to spread Carey’s ashes at the top of Vail pass at 12,500 feet.
